The month of september has been filled with many things to do.. mainly assignments, assignments and assignments. Well, last weekend was not.. was on Freedom Film Festival, thought of pulling out as a volunteer at the last minute as i still have other assignment due.. but since i promised them months ago, it;s only right if i kept to my promises. So there goes my 3 days volunteering to help in The Actors Studio GreenHall..
I was to usher ppl to the lil hall to watch the screenings plus i was in charge with F&B for the whole crew and volunteers. That was the hardest job ever. I never did things like that be4. it's prety tough buying food with tight budget and seperating to buy food for those who is on vegetarian, halal and non-halal. and i feel bad i dun even know town that well and thus i could not get good food for them. Felt sorry, maybe i should have got to know penang more. sigh.sigh. but then i din even know they put my name on the F&B area until tat day itself. So, cannot blame me also la. But at least i kept their stomach from hunger.
I cant review the films as i din really get to watch it.. only a few glimpse of here and there.. I missed Fahmi Reza(10 tahun sebelum merdeka), but i got to watch 2 other winners this year.. Ong Boon Keong's (Forgotten) and Indrani Kopal (She's My Son)- Indrani is a sweet girl. You go girl, i love the way she documented her ideas into visuals. SO creative of her.. Ong Boon Keong was on clan jetty in Penang. Sigh.. can we not rescue the jetty... preserved it or give them the right to the land!!!! I will watch Fahmi Reza's documentary soon....
Today's Audio Production went well just a lil glitch here and there but overall is fine. am satisfied on that. 214 lecture was cancelled this week but we still have tutorials and class tomoro. Tutorial this week was on the new media in the repressive state. My group did on Raja Petra's. After reading it, only did i understand what the controversial was about. if not because of the tutor, i would not have read in so details on the issue. So, thanks much! =).. and i bought i copy of Aliran's Monthly and read article written by our lecturer, Zaharom Nain regarding the issue og bloggers.. Add more knowledge to things i didnt know.
Next, one more essay for audio production due this friday and finally i can have a sweet sweet september weekend, at last. weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
